New Year's Eve Hours, Recipes, and Hangover Cures

 

Happy Thursday from the Catch Crew! Special Hours This Week Just a reminder that we close tomorrow, New Year's Eve, at 3pm and we're closed Saturday, New Year's Day. We'll resume our regular hours on Sunday, January 2nd. It's going to be a busy Thursday and Friday so hurry in as fast as you can - just be safe in all the rain! Seafood in the New Year Across the globe, many cultures enjoy seafood on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. It's believed that eating seafood on the first day of the year will bring a year of luck, prosperity, and good health. In China, fish are believed to be lucky because their scales resemble coins, and they swim in schools which invoke the idea of abundance. Here are a few recipes that you could try either New Year's Eve or for a New Year's Day brunch:  Oysters on the Half Shell with Ceviche Topping - these raw oysters are topped with a crunchy, spicy mix of diced cucumber, chiles, and pear. Salmon & Citrus Salad Poppy Seed Dressing - tangy grapefruit and creamy avocado - does it get better than that? Scallops Benedict with Brown Butter Hollandaise - this new take on a classic is guaranteed to start your day off right. Chilean Sea Bass with Butter & Herbs - such an easy and simple dish that is rich in flavor.
