Snow Supplies - Wine & Fish

It's supposed to snow on Sunday! We all know Georgia weather is unpredictable and you definitely don't want to be caught sans fish and sans wine. Get prepared with fresh fish to cook and libations to enjoy when you may be stuck in the house. In the interest of public service, we are resuming our wine tasting at Brookhaven from 3-5 pm on Saturday afternoon to help you choose some cold weather defense mechanisms. Saturday will a busy day at all locations in spite of the fact that we don't sell milk, bread or toilet paper (we can offer you some tp of our own if you are desperate). Come in and get everything else you will need for an at-home snow party! Keep an eye on Facebook or Instagram on Sunday in case inclement weather does keep us from opening. We'll sent out a social media blast to keep you updated.

Milton Market Wine Update

Speaking of libations, if you're a regular Milton market customer, you may have noticed that Milton Wine & Crystal is no longer in our store as of 2022. Yale and Susan have decided to step back and focus solely on their store, Johns Creek Wine & Crystal. We will miss them!

"But where will I get my wine to go with my fish selections!?" Don't worry - there are some new and exciting wine options coming to the store soon! We're in the middle of remodeling our wine section so stay tuned for updates over the next month or so.

Valentine's Day Teaser

We know it's still a month away but wanted to let everyone know that we are doing our ever-popular Valentine's Day meals again this year! If you are new to the Catch, you might not have heard of fabulous meal selections for Valentine's Day. It's a dinner for two complete with appetizer, entrée, and dessert options for you to choose from. A perfect meal for you and your special someone to cook at home together! It's a big deal this year when you might not be feeling good about dinner at a restaurant. We are currently finalizing our meal options and will announce our meals and how to place your orders soon!

Customer Recipe & Seafood Sunday Highlights

Last week we mentioned Oysters Rockefeller and a customer gave us a great one that you can do in the air fryer! Lou H. says all you need to do is pour melted butter on top of oysters, top with parmesan cheese and chopped green onions or parsley. If you want to get super fancy, add some crumbled bacon. Place them in the air fryer at 375º and cook for about 7 minutes. So easy!

Species Spotlight: Branzino

Branzino has many names, from Capemouth and Sea Perch to Loup de Mer and "King of the Mullets," though most of the time it's called Branzino or European Sea Bass. Outside its native Mediterranean Sea, branzino can be found in the Eastern Atlantic Ocean from Norway to Senegal, as well as the Black Sea. Since it's a migratory species, branzino travel south for the winter into warmer waters. This night-hunting fish grows up to three pounds, though most of the branzino you'll see on the plate is closer to one or two pounds — making it a perfect dish for two. It's a mild white fish, popular in Italian cuisine, and usually roasted whole, with a tender and delicate flesh. The mildness helps impart the ingredients you mix with it, whether it's Southeast Asian ingredients like lemongrass and chilis, or a classic Mediterranean preparation with fennel and tomatoes. However you plan to cook it, do enjoy the skin – it crisps up nicely and helps the fillets hold together.
