Mother's Day Ordering, Black Sable, and Rancho Gordo

 

Hey Y'all,

I'm so excited that one of my favorite fish is in the stores today. Sable! It's a gorgeous, creamy, delicious, captivating, scrumptious, luscious, heavenly fish. (Thank you, Thesaurus.com)
If you love this fish like I do, call them up and put your name on it because it'll go quick! Black cod is the nickname for this fish but it is not a cod at all. Sable has an extremely high fat content, being caught in the cold waters of the north Pacific, and has as much Omega-3 as wild salmon. When cooked, it has a texture very similar to Chilean Sea Bass.

Rancho Gordo Beans
Have you tried the Rancho Gordo beans that are in all of our stores? Like heirloom tomatoes, these are beautiful and more flavorful than boring grocery store beans. They are not mass produced beans but come from California, Oregon, Washington, New Mexico and Mexico. Soak them in the morning and have a delicious "New World" dinner this evening. This weekend I'm planning to indulge myself in grandchildren and good food and I hope you do something you love. To borrow a phrase from my 8 year old granddaughter, I love you more than unicorns.
